ABOUT THOMAS ARTISAN STRAPS

Since 2017, Thomas Artisan Straps is a small independent workshop based in Sitges, Spain, dedicated to crafting handmade leather watch straps for collectors around the world.

Each strap is made to order, one piece at a time. The work is slow, deliberate, and personal — from selecting the leather to cutting, shaping, stitching, finishing, and confirming the final proportions.

A SMALL WORKSHOP IN SITGES, SPAIN

Every strap is made by hand. I do not mass produce, outsource production, or use assembly-line methods. Each order is approached individually, with attention to the watch, the wrist, the leather, and the way the strap will age over time.

Natural markings, grain variation, texture, patina, and tonal depth are part of the identity of the work. These details are not defects — they are what give handmade leather goods their character.

BUILT FOR PROPORTION, COMFORT, AND WEAR

A good strap is not only about leather quality. Width, length, taper, thickness, stitching, edge finish, and buckle choice all affect how a strap feels on the wrist and how it balances with the watch.

For that reason, each strap is tailored according to the customer’s preferred fit, and style preferences.

FOR COLLECTORS WHO CARE ABOUT DETAILS

Thomas Artisan Straps was created for people who appreciate the details: the feel of full-grain leather, the tension of hand stitching, the shape of a keeper, the way a strap breaks in, and the balance between watch case and wrist.

The goal is not to make the loudest strap, but the right strap — one that feels considered, personal, and built to last.

ABOUT THOMAS WARBURTON

My name is Thomas Warburton, founder and artisan behind Thomas Artisan Straps. I founded the workshop in 2017 after years of working with my hands and developing an eye for detail, rhythm, balance, and craft.

Before building watch straps, I worked professionally as a jazz musician in Spain. That background continues to influence how I approach leatherwork: timing, touch, restraint, and proportion all matter.

Photography is also part of how I present the work. With the exception of customer review photos, the images on this site are taken by me. I enjoy photography, and I want the photos to show the straps honestly — the leather, texture, color, stitching, patina, and details as clearly as possible.

Today, every strap that leaves my workshop is made by me, by hand, with the same focus on craftsmanship, material, and long-term wear.
