Vintage Edition — French Military Leather

Vintage Edition French Military Leather is a handmade leather watch strap crafted from authentic vintage French military ammunition pouch leather, repurposed from original equipment produced in the 1960s/70s.

This is genuine vintage leather with decades of history. Unlike modern leather made to imitate an aged appearance, this material carries its own natural wear, surface character, tonal variation, and signs of previous use. Every mark and variation is part of the story of the original military equipment from which it came.

Originally produced for demanding military applications, this leather was selected for durability, strength, and reliability. Its dense structure and rugged character make it one of the toughest leathers I work with. It has a naturally robust feel and is designed for collectors who appreciate a strap that can be worn hard, outdoors, and through everyday adventures.

The Vintage Edition French Military Leather works especially well with dive watches, field watches, military-inspired watches, tool watches, Panerai watches, and other fine mechanical watches that benefit from a strap with authentic history and a strong utilitarian character.

Each strap is made to order in the Thomas Artisan Straps workshop in Sitges, Spain. The original vintage leather is individually selected, cut, shaped, stitched, and finished by hand. Because every piece comes from genuine vintage material, no two straps will ever be exactly alike.
